What PDF Kırpma does

PDF Kırpma trims the edges of PDF pages. Typical reasons are wide white margins around scanned pages, printer marks around a print-ready file, or a page where only part of the content is needed, such as a ticket or label printed on an A4 sheet.

You set how much to remove from each side as a percentage of the page. pdf-lib then sets the visible area of each selected page, its crop box and media box, to the smaller rectangle. Content outside the new edges is hidden but not deleted from the file. The result is saved with -cropped.

When to use PDF Kırpma

• Remove the wide white borders around scanned book pages or receipts so the text appears larger on a phone screen.
• Cut away crop marks and bleed from a print-ready PDF before sending a proof to a client by email.
• Trim a shipping label or event ticket printed on the top part of an A4 page down to the label itself.
• Cut off headers or footers, such as page numbers or logos, before inserting the pages into another document.

Settings explained

Top

How much to cut from the top edge, as a percentage of the page height, from 0 to 45 percent. The default is 5 percent, which on an A4 page is about 15 mm.

Bottom

How much to cut from the bottom edge, as a percentage of the page height, from 0 to 45 percent. Raise it to remove footers or page numbers, or set it to 0 to keep the bottom edge.

Left

How much to cut from the left edge, as a percentage of the page width, from 0 to 45 percent. On an A4 page the default of 5 percent is about 10 mm.

Right

How much to cut from the right edge, as a percentage of the page width. Use the same value as Left to keep the content centered, or 0 to keep the right edge as it is.

Pages (empty = all)

Leave it empty to crop every page with the same values. Or list pages and ranges separated by commas, such as 1, 3-5, 9-, where 9- means page 9 to the end. Other pages keep their size.

All major web browsers open PDF files directly. Windows, macOS, iOS and most Android phones include a PDF viewer, and Adobe Acrobat Reader and many free apps can view, annotate and fill PDF forms on all platforms.

Tips for the best result

• There is no preview, so start with small values, open the result, and adjust the percentages if too much or too little was removed.
• Values are percentages of each page's own size, so pages of different sizes in one file are cropped in proportion, not by the same distance.
• On pages stored with a rotation setting, Top, Bottom, Left and Right refer to the page before rotation, so a sideways scan may be cut on an unexpected side.
• To crop each page differently, run the tool several times on the result with different page lists, for example 1 with one setting and 2- with another.

How PDF Kırpma works in your browser

The PDF is opened with pdf-lib, an open-source PDF library that runs in your browser. Pages are copied, rotated, resized or cropped at the PDF object level, so text stays text and vector graphics stay sharp.

Because the original page content is copied rather than re-rendered, there is no quality loss. The only exception is an option that explicitly turns pages into images. The new PDF is assembled in memory on your device and offered as a download.

Privacy and security

Most online converters upload your files to a server, process them there and keep a copy for some time. PDF Kırpma works differently: the code is downloaded to your browser once, and your files are read and written only on your device.

You can check this yourself: after the page has loaded, turn off your internet connection and the tool still works. This makes it safe for contracts, IDs, medical records, private photos and unreleased work.
