The time zone of the time you enter. Zones are listed by city and name, for example New York – Eastern Time. Pages for a fixed pair, such as PST to EST, preselect it, but you can change it.

Date and time

The date and local time in the From zone. It starts at the current time. The date matters, because daylight saving time can change the difference between two zones.

To

The time zone to convert into. The result shows the weekday, date, time and zone name, and the line below lists both times with their offsets from UTC.

Swap

Exchanges the two zones and moves the converted time into the input field, so you can look at the same moment from the other side.

Now

Resets the input to the current date and time in the From zone. Use it to see what time it is right now in the other zone.

• The United States and Europe change clocks on different dates. For two to three weeks in March and a week from late October, the usual gap is one hour smaller.
• Most of Arizona does not use daylight saving time, so its difference from other US zones changes during the year. Choose Phoenix rather than Denver for Arizona.
• When you share a meeting time, include the date and the zone abbreviation or UTC offset shown in the result, so nobody has to guess.
• Some zones are offset by half an hour, such as India at UTC+5:30. Check the minutes in the result, not only the hour.
