What Obróć PDF does

Obróć PDF turns pages that are sideways or upside down, which often happens with scanned documents, photographed pages and landscape tables inside a portrait report. You can rotate every page or only the pages you list.

pdf-lib changes the rotation setting stored for each selected page. The page content itself is not redrawn, so text, images and quality stay exactly the same and the file size barely changes. The angle is added to any rotation the page already has, and the result is named with -rotated.

Settings explained

Rotation

90° ↻, the default, turns pages a quarter turn clockwise, 90° ↺ a quarter turn counterclockwise, and 180° turns them upside down. The angle is added to the current rotation of each page.

Pages (empty = all)

Leave it empty to rotate every page, or list pages and ranges separated by commas, such as 2, 5-7, 10-. 10- runs to the last page and -4 means pages 1 to 4. Unlisted pages are not changed.

All major web browsers open PDF files directly. Windows, macOS, iOS and most Android phones include a PDF viewer, and Adobe Acrobat Reader and many free apps can view, annotate and fill PDF forms on all platforms.

• Use the page numbers your PDF viewer shows, not the numbers printed on the pages. The tool counts the first page of the file as page 1, including the cover.
• Rotation does not change how text is stored, so text stays selectable and searchable after rotating, and links and form fields keep working.
• When you add several PDFs, the same rotation and page list are applied to each file. Use Download all (ZIP) to save all rotated files at once.

The PDF is opened with pdf-lib, an open-source PDF library that runs in your browser. Pages are copied, rotated, resized or cropped at the PDF object level, so text stays text and vector graphics stay sharp.

Because the original page content is copied rather than re-rendered, there is no quality loss. The only exception is an option that explicitly turns pages into images. The new PDF is assembled in memory on your device and offered as a download.

Privacy and security

Most online converters upload your files to a server, process them there and keep a copy for some time. Obróć PDF works differently: the code is downloaded to your browser once, and your files are read and written only on your device.
