What Pretvarač vremenskih zona does
Time zone conversion shows what one moment is called in another part of the world. Pretvarač vremenskih zona uses the time zone database built into your browser (the IANA tz database), which stores each zone's offset from UTC and its daylight saving time rules.

- The date and local time in the From zone. It starts at the current time. The date matters, because daylight saving time can change the difference between two zones.
- To
- The time zone to convert into. The result shows the weekday, date, time and zone name, and the line below lists both times with their offsets from UTC.
- Swap
- Exchanges the two zones and moves the converted time into the input field, so you can look at the same moment from the other side.
- Now
- Resets the input to the current date and time in the From zone. Use it to see what time it is right now in the other zone.

- Most of Arizona does not use daylight saving time, so its difference from other US zones changes during the year. Choose Phoenix rather than Denver for Arizona.
- When you share a meeting time, include the date and the zone abbreviation or UTC offset shown in the result, so nobody has to guess.
- Some zones are offset by half an hour, such as India at UTC+5:30. Check the minutes in the result, not only the hour.

How is daylight saving time handled?
The tool applies the rules for the exact date you enter, so the same pair of zones can differ by different amounts in summer and winter. For example, Pacific Time is PST (UTC−8) in winter and PDT (UTC−7) in summer, and the result shows which one applies.
What happens with times that do not exist or happen twice?
When clocks spring forward, a local time such as 2:30 AM is skipped, and the tool moves it by one hour to a time that exists. When clocks fall back, times in the repeated hour happen twice, and the tool picks one of them. Check the zone abbreviation in the result for these hours.
Why does the result show PDT or EDT instead of PST or EST?
PST, CST and EST are the winter (standard time) names of the US Pacific, Central and Eastern zones. From March to November the same zones use daylight saving time, called PDT, CDT and EDT. The tool converts the real local time for the date, so it shows whichever name applies.
