What JPG to PDF does
JPG to PDF puts images into a PDF, one image per page. It is the usual way to send several photos, scans or screenshots as a single document, for example receipts for an expense claim or photographed pages of a paper form.
JPG files are normally embedded as they are, without re-encoding. Other formats are decoded in the browser and stored as JPEG at the quality you choose, or as PNG when the image has transparent areas. Images are placed in the order of the file list, and each one is scaled to fit and centered on its page.
How to use JPG to PDF

- Pick the output format and any options.
- Click Convert. The conversion runs on your device.
- Download each file, or all of them at once as a ZIP.
When to use JPG to PDF
- Combine photos of paper receipts into one PDF to attach to an expense report or send to an accountant.
- Turn phone photos of a signed contract or a filled-in paper form into a single PDF that can be sent by email.
- Collect screenshots of an error message, a chat or a booking confirmation into one document for customer support or your records.
- Put scanned pages of homework, drawings or a handwritten essay into one PDF for a school upload portal.
Settings explained
- Page size
- Same as image, the default, makes each page as large as its image plus the margin, at 96 pixels per inch. Choose A4, Letter, A3, A5 or Legal when the PDF will be printed or needs a standard size.
- Orientation
- Only shown when a fixed page size is selected. Automatic uses landscape pages for images that are wider than tall and portrait pages for the rest. Portrait or Landscape uses the same orientation for every page.
- Margin
- White space around each image, from 0 to 72 points, where 72 points is one inch (25.4 mm). The default is 0. A margin of 18 to 36 points looks good on printed pages.
- Quality
- JPEG quality from 30 to 100 percent, default 92, for images that have to be re-encoded, such as PNG, HEIC or WEBP. JPG files embedded unchanged and images with transparency, which are stored as PNG, are not affected.
What changes when you convert JPG to PDF
Each image becomes one PDF page. JPG photos are embedded as they are, without re-compression. Other formats are converted to high-quality JPG, or PNG when they have transparency, before they are placed on the page.

What is JPG?
JPG (Joint Photographic Experts Group) is an image format introduced by JPEG in 1992. It uses lossy compression and has no transparency. Files use the .jpg or .jpeg extension.
JPG, also written JPEG, is named after the Joint Photographic Experts Group, which wrote the standard. It splits an image into small blocks, transforms each block with a discrete cosine transform and discards the fine detail that the eye notices least. A quality setting controls how much detail is removed and therefore the file size.
JPG is the standard choice for photographs and other images with smooth color gradients, such as camera pictures, product photos and images for email or social media. It gives small files with good visual quality at moderate settings.
JPG does not support transparency or animation. Each time a JPG is edited and saved again, it loses a little more quality. Text, line art and sharp edges can show visible blocks or halos at low quality settings.
JPG is supported everywhere: in all web browsers, on all desktop and mobile operating systems, and on cameras, phones and printers. All image editors and office programs open it. It is the most compatible format for sharing photos.
What is PDF?
PDF (Portable Document Format) is a document format introduced by Adobe in 1993. Files use the .pdf extension.
PDF was created by Adobe to show documents the same way on any device and printer. A PDF file describes pages with text, fonts, vector graphics and images at fixed positions. It became an open ISO standard in 2008, and there are special variants such as PDF/A for archiving and PDF/X for printing.
PDF is the right choice for documents that must look the same everywhere, such as contracts, invoices, forms, manuals, reports and files for printing. It also supports digital signatures, fillable forms, comments and password protection.
PDF is hard to edit, because text is stored as positioned pieces, not as flowing paragraphs. Converting a PDF to Word may change the layout. Scanned PDFs contain pictures of text, not real text, unless OCR has been applied.
All major web browsers open PDF files directly. Windows, macOS, iOS and most Android phones include a PDF viewer, and Adobe Acrobat Reader and many free apps can view, annotate and fill PDF forms on all platforms.
Why use FansBond JPG to PDF
Most online converters upload your files to their servers. FansBond JPG to PDF does the work inside your browser instead, using WebAssembly and modern browser APIs. Your files stay on your device, which is safer for private photos, contracts and unreleased work, and it is often faster because nothing has to upload or download.
There are no queues, no watermarks and no account. Once the page has loaded, the tool keeps working even on a slow connection.
Tips for the best result
- Use the up and down arrows next to each file to set the page order before you create the PDF. The first file in the list becomes page 1.
- With Same as image, a photo 4000 pixels wide gives a page more than one meter wide. Choose A4 or Letter for documents that will be printed.
- JPG files are embedded without reading the rotation tag that some phones and cameras store. If a photo appears sideways in the PDF, turn that page with Rotate PDF.
- With one image, the PDF is named after that image. With several images, the result is called images.pdf, so rename it before you send it.
How JPG to PDF works in your browser
The PDF is opened with pdf-lib, an open-source PDF library that runs in your browser. Pages are copied, rotated, resized or cropped at the PDF object level, so text stays text and vector graphics stay sharp.
Because the original page content is copied rather than re-rendered, there is no quality loss. The only exception is an option that explicitly turns pages into images. The new PDF is assembled in memory on your device and offered as a download.
Privacy and security
Most online converters upload your files to a server, process them there and keep a copy for some time. JPG to PDF works differently: the code is downloaded to your browser once, and your files are read and written only on your device.
You can check this yourself: after the page has loaded, turn off your internet connection and the tool still works. This makes it safe for contracts, IDs, medical records, private photos and unreleased work.
Frequently asked questions
Can I add many photos at once?
Yes. Select or drop as many JPG files as you like; each becomes a page in the same PDF, in the order shown in the list.
Is JPG to PDF free?
Yes. JPG to PDF on FansBond is completely free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limit.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Your files are processed in your browser on your own device. They are never sent to FansBond or anyone else.
Do I need to install any software?
No. It works in any modern browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) on Windows, Mac, Linux, Android and iPhone.
Is there a file size limit?
There is no fixed limit. Because the work happens on your device, the practical limit depends on your device's memory. Most phones handle files of a few hundred megabytes, and computers handle much more.
Does converting reduce the quality of my photos?
JPG photos are normally copied into the PDF without changes, so their quality stays the same. Other formats are converted to JPEG at the quality setting, 92 percent by default, which looks very close to the original. Images with transparency are stored losslessly. Re-encoded images larger than 5000 pixels on the longest side are scaled down to that size.
Can I make one PDF from images of different sizes?
Yes. With Same as image, every page takes the size of its own image. With a fixed size such as A4, all pages have the same size, and each image is scaled to fit inside the margins without being cropped or stretched.
Will the text in my scanned pages be searchable?
No. The images are placed in the PDF as pictures, so the words in them cannot be selected, copied or found by search. Making scanned text searchable requires OCR (optical character recognition), which this tool does not perform.
